Giving expert feedback on a section

A comment is how you tell Twin what is wrong with a section and what you want instead. It stays with the section, your colleagues see it, and the assistant reads it the next time it works on that section.

  1. Hover over the section. A comment button appears at its right edge.
  2. Click it, type your feedback in the box marked Write a new comment..., then click Send.
  3. Click the comment to open it. Colleagues can answer in the Add reply box and click Reply.

Settle a point in the replies before the assistant acts on it: it reads the whole thread, not only the first comment.

Hand it to the assistant, or close it yourself

Apply sends the comment and its replies to the assistant as an instruction to change that section. Twin opens a conversation in the chat column, works through the change and resolves the comment when it is done. If that conversation does not have edit access to the project yet, it asks for it first, so approve the request in the chat to let it continue.

Mark as resolved (without AI), in the menu next to Apply, closes the comment without involving the assistant. Use it when the point is settled or when you have already fixed the text yourself. The same menu holds Delete.

You do not have to do either. A comment you leave open is read the next time the assistant works on that section, together with its replies.

Find a resolved comment back

Open the three-dot menu on the section toolbar and go to the Resolved comments tab. It lists every closed thread with the moment it was resolved and how many replies it holds.

Tips for effective feedback

  • Be specific; say what is wrong and what you want instead. "Add more detail about the testing methodology" works better than "this section is not good enough."
  • One thing per comment; keep each comment focused on a single point so the assistant can address it clearly.
  • Reference your sources; if something is missing, mention where the correct information can be found in your sources.
  • Comments override defaults; your feedback takes priority over template instructions.

Good to know: feedback that applies to the whole document, or to several sections at once, belongs in the chat rather than in a comment. See Working with the assistant.
