What is Twin?

Twin is where subsidy consultants write grant applications: the scheme, the client, the source material and the text that goes to the funder, all in one place.

The unit of work is a project

A project is one application. It holds the grant and the document type Twin writes against, one or more clients, a deadline, a status, a project plan, tasks, sources and the documents themselves. Nothing sits loose: open the project and everything belonging to that application is on the page. See Projects: where an application comes together.

The assistant sits next to your work

The assistant is a column on the right of every page, not a mode you switch into. It drafts and rewrites sections, sets up projects, clients and tasks, searches the grant database, and asks your permission before it goes out to the public web. Every conversation keeps its own tab. Home is a queue, not a dashboard

Home lists the projects waiting on you and says why: a deadline coming up, a plan waiting for your approval, a question still open. Below it are the open tasks across all your projects. See Finding your way around Twin.

Twin remembers your firm

What Twin learns about your organization, a client, a document type or you personally is kept as memory and reused in the next application. Every memory is readable, editable and reversible. See Memory: what Twin remembers.

Document types carry the funder's structure

Each scheme comes as a document type: the funder's sections, their word or character limits, and the criteria each section is judged on. That is what keeps a draft inside the rules rather than merely well written.
