How to use Fast Mode and Pro Mode

Choose between quick single-pass generation and autonomous AI-driven writing to match the complexity of your document.

Fast mode

Fast mode generates each section in a single pass. It is quick, cost-efficient, and predictable. Use Fast mode for straightforward sections where the source material is clear and complete.

Pro mode

Pro mode launches an autonomous AI agent that plans, researches, and writes iteratively. The agent reads your sources, checks the web when enabled, and refines its output over multiple steps. Use Pro mode for complex applications where thorough research and structured argumentation matter.

How to switch modes

Open the Settings tab in the side panel and click Fast or Pro. Switching modes while a session is active starts a new conversation.

Interactive toggle

Enable Interactive to have the AI ask you questions before writing. Disable it for fully autonomous generation.

Good to know

Pro mode uses more AI budget than Fast mode because of its multi-step process.
Web search is available in Pro mode and marked as "Experimental."
